Two members of Chuck Mangione’s band were killed Thursday night in the Continental Airlines plane crash in Clarence Center, New York.Mangione’s publicist told TMZ that saxophonist Gerry Niewood and Coleman Mellett, guitarist, were among those killed when Flight 3407 crashed into a house near Buffalo.
A publicist for the famous jazz musician identified the band members as Gerry Niewood and Coleman Mellett. Through a rep, Mangione said, "I'm in shock over the horrible, heartbreaking tragedy."The musicians were en route to Buffalo for tonight’s performance with the Buffalo Philharmonic.That show has been canceled.
